Destined to be a great chef, Joël Luzincourt began his culinary adventure at his grandmother’s side. Born in Haiti, he grew up immersed in the flavors and know-how of his native land, where cooking is an art of living.
Inspired by Haitian culinary traditions
Joël began to explore gastronomy in all its forms, particularly African cuisine, attracted by the richness and diversity of its flavors. His travels in Africa nourished his passion and broadened his gastronomic horizons: Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania…
His innate gift for cooking and his curiosity are the driving forces that push him to go ever further in his culinary research. He likes to fuse Haitian and African flavors to create unique and innovative dishes, and also draws inspiration from French cuisine.
In recent years, Joël has worked on various projects with major companies such as Socan (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada), Caisse Desjardins, Brunet Pharmacies, JCCH (Young Haitian Chamber of Commerce) and event venues such as Terrasse Teranga, where he has been showcasing his art and creativity for several years.
Aside from his cooking, Joël loves to travel, exploring new cultures and flavors as a source of inspiration for his next culinary creations.
